Karnivor Raw Food – Safety First
As pet parents, we know how important it is to know the source of the ingredients as well as the production processes behind the food we offer our dogs. It’s completely normal to want to make sure that what we offer our dog is safe and suitable for him.

Human-grade ingredients
All of our ingredients come from local producers, located in Quebec. Our meat is produced without hormones, steroids and antibiotics.
In addition, for each of Karnivor’s recipes, only human-grade ingredients are used, i.e. ingredients of as good quality as those that end up on your plate. More specifically, we upgrade animal parts less appreciated by humans (bones, offal, pieces of meat that are difficult to cook) in order to make up our recipes. It also allows us to avoid food waste.
Food Analysis and Safety
To ensure optimal safety, we adhere to a standardized HACCP-type food safety system. This allows us to identify, assess and control hazards that could threaten food safety. This method helps prevent, reduce or eliminate biological, chemical and physical hazards that could threaten food safety.
In addition to the HACCP method, we apply several processes that allow us to guarantee optimal safety:
✓ We carry out bacteriological analysis of our products regularly.
✓ We use a product traceability system.
✓ All our employees at the factory are adequately trained to comply with hygiene and sanitation policies
Quality Standards
Throughout the production process, we work according to quality standards that are higher than those required by MAPAQ. We respect the cold chain through all stages of production – from the supplier of the raw material to the store where we distribute our finished products. This way, you can be assured that the ingredients of the medallions you buy have been kept at the ideal temperature throughout their processing.
Our recipes are made in state-of-the-art facilities. Each medallion is carefully inspected by our team before being packaged and put on the market.
